Since its founding in 1973, the Pacific Palisades Community Council (PPCC) has served as the voice of our community. As an all-volunteer 501 (c) (3)<\/a> nonprofit organization, PPCC provides a vital forum for discussing local issues and advocates to government and private agencies on matters where the community has reached broad consensus.<\/p>\n

With over 50 years of continuous service\u2014celebrated in 2023<\/a>\u2014PPCC stands as one of the oldest volunteer civic organizations in Los Angeles. Our pioneering structure served as a model for the city’s current Neighborhood Council system, demonstrating the power of grassroots community engagement.<\/p>\n

Our Governance<\/strong><\/p>\n

PPCC’s Board represents the diverse voices of Pacific Palisades through elected Area Representatives from each residential neighborhood, an elected At-Large Representative, and representatives appointed by key community organizations. Meetings & Engagement<\/strong><\/p>\n

The PPCC Board convenes twice monthly in open public meetings (reducing to once monthly in July, August, November, and December) to address a wide range of community concerns. Recognizing Community Excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each year, PPCC honors outstanding community service through our Citizen of the Year and Golden Sparkplug Awards, along with occasional Pride of the Palisades distinctions. These awards recognize dedicated volunteers at our annual December holiday gala.
