{"id":68,"date":"2016-01-29T04:40:10","date_gmt":"2016-01-29T04:40:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ppccwebsite.wordpress.com\/?page_id=68"},"modified":"2026-02-14T16:02:44","modified_gmt":"2026-02-14T16:02:44","slug":"previous-meeting-minutes","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/pacpalicc.org\/index.php\/area-representatives\/previous-meeting-minutes\/","title":{"rendered":"Minutes of Previous Meetings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Click on drop down menus, and then side tabs for each year, to access <strong>meeting minutes by date (2001-present).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Regarding past minutes (1973-2000):<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong>PPCC did not maintain a website before 2001 and hard copies of minutes kept in prior years were not retained.\u00a0 See <a href=\"https:\/\/pacpalicc.org\/index.php\/documents\/historic-documents-ppcc-est-1974\/\">Historic Documents<\/a> for a record of previous activities.\u00a0 <strong>(Note:<\/strong>\u00a0 PPCC began posting minutes online in 2001, when its original\/prior website was created; the current website, created in 2015, carries forward all online minutes since 2001.)<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Regarding PPCC meeting venues:<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong>From 1973-2001:\u00a0 According to past board members, most PPCC board meetings before 2000 were held at the <strong>Palisades Branch Library<\/strong> (old building) at 861 Alma Real Drive in Pacific Palisades.\u00a0 During demolition and construction of the new, replacement Library building (2000-2001), meetings were held in the <strong>Oak Room of Mort&#8217;s Deli,<\/strong> a beloved Palisades institution formerly located for many years on Swarthmore Ave. <em>(&#8220;Gone but not forgotten&#8221;<\/em> &#8212; tribute to Mort&#8217;s on PPCC&#8217;s original\/prior website).<\/p>\n<p>From 2002-2019:\u00a0 PPCC board meetings were held in-person in the community room of the <strong>current Library building<\/strong> on Alma Real Drive, or occasionally at other local venues <em>(e.g.,<\/em> Palisades Recreation Center gym, Palisades High School auditorium and\/or gym, Palisades Methodist Church).<\/p>\n<p>From 2020 forward:\u00a0 PPCC board meetings were held either in-person in the <strong>Library community room<\/strong> (January-February 2020\/pre-Covid), via <strong>Zoom videoconference<\/strong> (2020-present\/during and post Covid\/post the January 2025 Fire), or occasionally in <strong>hybrid format,<\/strong> online and in the Library community room or at the American Legion Post 283 (2023-2024).\u00a0 Due to pandemic restrictions, in 2020 no meetings were held from March through the 1st meeting in June &#8212; believed to be the longest lapse in PPCC board meetings since its formation in 1973.\u00a0 Post the Fire, except for one meeting canceled in early January 2025, PPCC has met continuously via <strong>Zoom<\/strong> from January 23, 2025, forward.<\/p>\n<p>PPCC&#8217;s <strong><em>December holiday meetings\/awards events<\/em><\/strong> were held mostly at Temescal Gateway Park (Stuart Hall or the dining hall) for many years (pre-2000 through 2014).\u00a0 Different venues of the December holiday meetings\/ awards events since 2015 are indicated in meeting minutes indices (click on the minutes side tabs for the years 2015 forward), or visit <a href=\"https:\/\/pacpalicc.org\/index.php\/awards-guidelines\/\">Awards Guidelines<\/a> (scroll down to bottom of page).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Click on drop down menus, and then side tabs for each year, to access meeting minutes by date (2001-present).
