PPCC was thrilled to see the community come together so beautifully and demonstrate that all the wonderful organizations which do an immense amount of volunteer work in this community are connected by one common thread — to the great benefit of Pacific Palisades. 

Many thanks to community members, elected officials, LAPD and our speakers and awardees.

Throughout the day we helped give accolades and receive honors.

These included receiving a US Flag from Congressman Brad Sherman; a joint State Resolution congratulating PPCC on 50 years of service from State Senator Ben Allen and State Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin; an ornate commendation from Supervisor Lindsey Horvath and the County of Los Angeles acknowledging 50 years of service; a certificate of congratulations from City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto; and a plaque of recognition from the City of Los Angeles, signed by Councilwoman Traci Park and Mayor Karen Bass.

We also presented certificates of recognition, alongside our organizational board members and government officials, to: Shirley Haggstrom (from Temescal Canyon Association); Randy Young (from Seven Arrows School); Jospeh McCann (from the American Legion); Carol Sanborn (from PPTFH); Gail Wirth, Susan Fairborn, Janice Goldfinger and Sheda Morshed (from Resilient Palisades); Tom McKiernan, Don Haselkorn and Lee Calvert (from the PP Optimists); Martha Hunter and Sherman Wayne (from Theatre Palisades), and Lou Kamer (from PPCC, City Council District 11 / CM Traci Park and County District 3 / Sup. Lindsey Horvath).
